Hi everyone, I am a certified Master Mariner (Captain) with 10 years of sailing experience. Presently thinking of doing LLM in Internatonal Maritime Law from Swansea. Already have an offer letter from them.
Can someone guide me on the carrier prospects after LLM given my background in sailing and not holding a LLB degree.
Thanks, any comments and suggestions welcome.

It is an excellent place! I did my LLM degree a few years ago and ended up having options for me when I completed! In my year there were 2 master mariners studying with me and they were snapped up by P & I Clubs as soon as they finished. You are going to the right place. Fantastic practrical lectures, very good learning environment and great connections with practice!
Go for it!

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. It is definitely reassuring to hear that I wont be left high and dry after completing my LLM.

Hi Vianna
Just completed my LLM in Swansea and i can wholeheartedly say that my experience was simply superb. Excellent lecturers who are internationally recognised for their e xpertise in maritime law who also care for the students. They provided us with a lot of Employability initiatives throughout the year, ie spcific lectures on cv and interview skill, visiting lectures delivered by people from the city, mooting and the careers fair. we also had a captain studying the course who was very good and now has a great job on shore, which he got even before finisning the LLM!. Go for Swansea! i would do an LLM in Swansea again if I could!
