Hello everybody,
does anybody have any experience with the Entertainment Law programme at the University of Westminster or wants to go there in 2005/06? It'd be nice to have an "experience report" or to get to know someone who has similar plans for their LLM.

Hi Nicky
I did my LLM in Media Law at University College London. The course covered also Entertainment Law and I can really recommend it. I havent heard much about Westminster but if you have the choice I would go for an LLM at one of Universities in London that are part of the "university of London" collaboration (UCL, SOAS, Kings College) because they have the best reputation.

Hi Nicky, I did my LLM at King's and the classes were really good. Media Law was a bit dissapointing though, but ok. The competition law class with Professor Wish was the highlight of the program.
Are you from the UK? In my year I did not get to know many English students...

Hi Russ!
No, actually I'm from Germany. I think there are not many British students at all who do an LLM, are there? It's a pity, though it will also be nice to meet people from all over the world. Thanks for your info on KCL,
Nicky

Hi Nicky!
There are said to be some British students doing an LLM in London but the vast majority of students come from abroad. And the British in our year did not seem to participate in the social activities that much. This does not mean that there are no native speakers in the LLM though. We had some Australians and Americans in our program. Also there were many Scandinavians and Dutch where you could not tell from their accent whether they were English or foreigners.
Anyway, you really have a great mixture of students from almost every corner of the world. So enjoy your year!
