Hi guys!
First of all, I wish all of you the best of luck with your current applications. I hope you get in.
I had a question about the worth of an LLM at LSE. Yesterday, I was accepted for the LLM at LSE. This is the only school I applied to. Now, I was wondering wether I should accept it.
My main question is the added value of an LLM at LSE. At the moment, I was having a go at some job applications to work here in Brussels (Im Belgian) and Im having some trouble with it. I am a good student, ranked in the top 10% of my class. However, I only want to work for the big law firms, such as Baker & McKenzie, Clifford Chance, Freshfields or Linklaters. Right now, I manage to get invited for a job interview at some of these firms, but not all. And during the interviews, they always make clear that they actually prefer people who have done an LLM.
At first, I was reluctant to do this because I already spent a semester on exchange at Northwestern University and I thought this would be enough. But it turns out that just the exchange is not enough. However, would aan LLM at LSE be enough to get in these firms? Or should it be an LLM for a big American school such as NYU, Stanford or Harvard?
I just want to be sure that Im making the right choice. Its a lot of money but Im willing to pay it if thats whats necessary.
Of course, I will try to contact some recruiters at these law firms to ask what they think about this plan. But I would also like to hear your opinions on the matter.
Thank you for your help!

I don't know how it works in Belgian. But in France, I know a lot of people that got an LLM from LSE (and even schools that are not as well ranked) and who got a job at Baker McKenzie, White and Case, EY, etc.
I am sure it is a plus ! :)
