Hi all,
I'm hoping to apply to Edinburgh within the next week or so (gathering references etc at the moment). I know the deadline is the 31st of May but I've heard that some LLMs are on a first-come-first served basis. Is there any need to panic?!
Also, I was wondering if anyone would know approximately how many places are available for the LLM in Law and the LLM in Innovation, Technology and the Law. I've checked the website but I can't seem to locate this information. (I know it's completely irrelevant anyway with regards to my application, but I'm hoping it'll give me some peace of mind in relation to my chances of getting accepted; I really want to go to Edinburgh!!)

Great to hear you're so interested in coming to Edinburgh. Competition on-campus is quite intense. I've already heard from students with adequate applications (meeting and in some cases exceeding the entrance qualifications) being turned away. However, if you know you've got excellent grades, then you shouldn't be too worried.
I'd not apply for the general LL.M if you're interested in IP and IT Law specifically, as the LL.M in Innovation, Technology and the Law on-campus students have first refusal for all the IP and IT law courses.
