KCL UCL QMUL LSE LLM 2016 2017 APPLICANTS

Hi, I guess that means that your application is being processed as to probably give you an offer...

I had my application sent off on the 24th of this month, therefore I probably still have a long wait right? :(

Hi, i have conditional offer from KCL. My offer states that I have been classified as EU for fee purposes and that I am eligible for paying the EU rate. Do you know what happens if UK leave the EU prior to my enrollment (considering they have EU referendum in June)? I am afraid of situation where I accept the offer, pay the deposit and reject other schools and then end up with obligation to pay overseas fee (which i cannot afford).

Wow, now that's a good question. I have absolutely no idea... But maybe you should ask them? I mean, even for them, it is better to have some certainty in that regard.

I submitted my application on Dec. 15th, got an unconditional offer in January (I believe it was the 27th). Not sure that helps anyone, but still.

Hi,

1. I had submitted my UCL application on 8th December and I still haven't heard back. I called up UCL last week and the admissions office informed me that they are still processing application. They said I can expect a response by mid or end of March. So I guess they will get back to us soon....

2. I wanted to know if there's anyone on the group here who has accepted the offer and is going to QMUL? I applied for LLM in Intellectual Property Law and I received an offer.
Wondering whether I should wait for UCL or go ahead with QMUL. Any advice / suggestions?

3. Is there a FB page for QMUL offer holders?

I accepted the offer of QMUL (International Business Law). I didn't found a fb group for QMUL offer holders. Maybe someone can create one.

You can still accept the offer from QMUL and wait for the other answer. I soon as you got it, if it's a good news, you can just withdraw your offer from QMUL.

I am in the same boat as you, also waiting for an answer from UCL for the LLM in environmental law. My second reference was uploaded Dec 27th and my status changed to "under assessment" the first week of January.

I have accepted offers for QMUL and Edinburgh (and Groningen in the NED), but will obviously withdraw them if I get into UCL.

Why is UCL taking forever? I guess no answer is better than rejection...

I received a conditional offer from KCL and I have fulfilled their condition (english language) and uploaded my IELTS Result but haven't received the official unconditional offer! Just sent them an email to ask about this.

I also applied for UCL in mid Jan. But my status has been under assessment foreeeever! I sent them an email today. But to be honest, I am not so confident about my UCL because they require an average 7.5 for Dutch students but mine is 7.4 so I am so nervous!

Congratulations Camfer! Did you receive an email first or did you see it on portico. For which specialisation?

Good for you :)

Hi :)

I sent off my applications during the first week of December and received an offer from KCL within 2 weeks while UCL and LSE made me an offer during the first week of February. I didn't check the website as I did not expect them to reply that week so only knew through email. It seems that most universities, particularly those with rolling admission, get back to you within 8-10 weeks :)

Good luck to everyone :)

Actually guys, I called the Postgraduate admissions office and they updated me on my offer. The faculty recommended me and it needs to be approved by the Admissions Office, but the lady assured me that 99% of the time it is. 15 min later on Portico my status changed to "currently being processed by Admissions".

I am happy, but also concerned since I won't meet the condition. The condition is that I get a 3.3 GPA, but I have already graduated law school. Furthermore, it was mathematically impossible for me to raise it from 3.17 to 3.3 in one semester. Anyways, the lady told me to email them once I receive the actual conditional offer.

I hope it works. Anyone in the same situation?

Hey! Yes I had also called the Admissions office last week and I was informed that I would get a response by the end of this week...however, as of now I haven't received anything.

The only noticeable change in my portico is that it has changed from ' application under assessment' to 'being processed by Admissions'.. Hoping its a positive response and they speed up the process as well... its been more than 2 and half months since I submitted my application....

I received my LSE offer today. Applied on 4 Feb, complete on 12 Feb.

I am still waiting to hear back from UCL.

What are people's views on LSE v UCL? I mean more generally: faculty, facilities, reputation, structure of LLM programmes etc.

Hi i have been accepted at UCL on 12 Feb 2016, i submitted my application on 19 December 2015.

Anyway, i have question about scholarship and tuition discount, will they announce it later or during the offer of the admission?
in their offer they did not provide any financial assistance, but i read somewhere that UCL will send separate email to notify about this financial assistance .... dont know whether this is true or not ...
can anyone share their experience?

Hi all, I know it is very late for me to start a new application this year, but I would like to ask if there is a probability for me to be offered a place in either UCL or KCL, though I have been offered a place in Bristol and Manchester.

I am Chinese and doing a 3 year LLB with Swansea Uni, which is a UK average university in Wales, in the first year I have got only 54 average marks, and 60 exactly in year 2, and the average score of my last semester is 66. Plus I have been working as paralegal and immigration caseworker since the year 2 of the Uni.

I called UCL today and described my academic situation in brief, the officer said "I encourage you to start your application".......

Would you think if I have any chance to be offered a place by UCL or KCL for 2016 entry ?

Hi everyone. I can not find a group for leiden llm applications similar to this group. So, I thought that maybe someone from here can help me. I have completed my application for advanced llm in Leiden university in 15 January. It has been almost 2 months and there is no reply yet. Is there anyone here who also applied to Leiden or know someone did so?
Thanks in advance

Hello mychen,

I too would encourage you to apply! You have very good chances to get offers from both UCL and KCL. It's definitely not too late.
Have fun in London!

Best regards

Yes I received an offer in November right after I applied (2 weeks). However, my friends applied in Jan, and they were informed that its gonna take some time for them to process the applications, because there's a huge surge in applications at the moment. They should reply by mid April latest I'm assuming.
