KCL or Nottingham?

Magiur

Hi guys!

What (general) LL.M. programme do you think is better? KCL or Nottingham? In my eyes KCL is better (especially for reputation), but in the latest UK law school rankings Nottingham appears higher ranked than KCL. Can somebody tell me why Nottingham this year is higher ranked than KCL??? I frankly wondered!

At what time do you reccomend to apply to Nottingham?

Thanks

Apply to both colleges first and once you get offers from both of them then decide, depending on the subjects that you wanna study.

Dont pay too much attention to the rankings, just because this year Nottingham is ranked better it doesnt mean that they are 100% better than KCL or UCL. You need to see what subjects do you wanna take up and which professors are teaching those subjects. Professors make huge difference in the subjects that you want to study.
All the best!

Finally a response! Thanks a lot for the advices. Well, I'm interested in courses both at KCL and Nottingham (private international law, trademark law and commercial) That's the reason why I'm looking more at the ranking.

When do you think I should apply to Nottiningham, since the deadline there is 31st May? Now or wait until i have a response from LSE and KCL?

Thanks!

If I had the choice, the location might have been the deciding factor between these two, and not their rankings.

I got an offer for Nottingham. I think you should apply as early as possible. It is competitive to get in there!!

I think in terms of law they have the same reputation. Nottingham is a very prestigious law school as well as KCL

@ Wheretogo_

Thank you for your advice! When did you apply? And when did you receive the offer?I thought it would not be so urgent, since the deadline there is only 31 May.

Thanks a lot.

Congrats!! I've applied to KCL and LSE on 5th November, still nothing. But that was predictable.

Well, so I'll apply to Nottingham before Christmas.

Thanks again!!
