KCL LLM applicants 2022/23

SJLarr

I'm posting here to see if anybody else is applying to the KCL LLM program. Personally I'm interested in the International Financial Law pathway. On track to apply by December.

Interested to hear about other people and what your plans are, cheers!

Hi, i would like to ask you a question. Do you know if there are any changes regarding the english requirements for the year 2022/23? It is still Band B? (IELTS 7 etc.)

Hi, I have a question about LORs. KCL says they are not required but there is an option to upload documents while giving details of professional/ academic experience. Is it a good idea to upload an LOR in this section under "other" documents, or will they just ignore it? Has anyone done this?

Hi everyone! Just wondering, when writing the personal statement have people addresses the LLM in general or the specific pathway they would like to take? thanks:)

I don't think they will consider this since it will be unfair to other applicants. They clearly mention they do not require LORs

hi guys! applications opened on october 18th. I applied as soon as it opened. :) hope we all get the offers we want!

nope i have not been given any updates on my application. however, i did read through some forums/threads from previous masters applicants to kcl and those who applied in october were contacted in november and given an offer or rejected. the earliest i saw someone receiving an update was exactly three weeks after they sent in their application in october. i’ve already received an unconditional offer from QMUL to do my LLM but i’m waiting on KCL because its my dream course. i’ll let you guys know once i get an update

Today has been exactly 3 weeks since I submitted my application but no updates so far. Only my academic transcript has changed to 'document is OK' but my application status is still 'received and being processed'. Anyone in the same boat?

Sounds like you're on track to get admitted. Would you mind sharing your work exp, publications and gpa so we can get an idea if we can gain admission to the course or not. I'm planning to apply for the 23-24 intake

Yes, I am in a similar boat. Applied on October 30th. The document status against transcripts say 'Document is OK' and against personal statement, it says 'Personal Statement meets needs for assessment'. I think this just means that they have begun assessment of the application, and nothing about the decisions yet.

I don't have much work experience- I am a current undergraduate university student but I have been volunteering at a law clinic for the past 2 years. I don't know how the gpa system work so unfortunately cannot be of much help there- sorry! I was also wondering why you think I am on track to receive an offer? My status is still the same, and the only document which is ok is my transcript.

Fingers crossed for you! I'm submitted my application on 18th Oct and none of my other document status except my transcript has changed. They still say 'received'. Anyone know why?

I don’t know if this will be any help, but I applied October 18th and still have not received any updates. It has been almost 5 weeks since I have submitted my application and I have not been given any replies from the admissions team.
