Hello.
I am interested in submitting my application for the KCL Competition Law LL.M., however I would have some questions regarding the admission requirements and how they are deemed by KCL. The questions below go out to both current applicants as well as to graduates of the LL.M. program.
First of all, my GPA is not so strong, meaning I have an LL.B. score of 72%. I have a Master of Laws degree from the same college that I graduated my LL.B. degree from as well as a Master of Arts in Political Science. It's safe to say that I got the best GPA score for the Master of Arts program, which I really don't know how helpful it could be as I am applying for a Master of Laws degree.
Now, I know the first response would be to start finding another college right off the bat, however I have to admit that I would love studying the Competition LL.M. at Kings. So, my questions go as follows:
* Is there any chance my application will be balanced by more than just my Bachelor's GPA ?
* I assume work experience as well as other attended studies should weight for the overall application however can these balance the low GPA ?
* Would a reference letter be helpful in such a situation or should I wait in case I am actually required a reference letter ?
* Have any of you been admitted although your GPA is not so good ? With what were you able to balance it (work/other law studies) ?
Thanks in advance for your replies.
