Does anyone have any views, ideas, recommendations, for someone consdering the Oxford summer programme in International HUman Rights law. Does it improve chances of admission into an LL.M. human rights programme in the future? I am currenlty an LL.B. student at Edinburgh.

could someone please reply soon with insightful comments. Just to elaborate, I really wanna do this programme and have been offered a place. But it's the cost that's holding me back. So please any comments (from the 40 people who have viewed the post and others) would be helpful.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

I think it largely depends on the fact how fierce was the competition in your case. In my opinion, such expensive programs accept most of the applicants as it is a good bussiness...But it is beyond all the doubts that such item on your CV can make a difference and "tip it over" during admission process.
My advice to you would be to apply to University of Cambridge Summer School in English Legal Methods and apply for the Trinity College scholarship as well. The simple fact that you would be awarded a scholarship from such prestigious institution could be of enormous importance to you.

Hi R.A.J.
I've been accepted too, and I've heard from many law professors that the program is worth it in terms of the people you will study with and the contacts you will make. It is expensive though... I'll be taking out a hefty loan to pay for it. But this program could be your way to finding employment after graduation. Hope this helps.

Hi Raj,
Well, I just found out today that I was accepted into the program and I am now trying to decide whether or not the advantages and benefits of such a program will outweigh the dent it's going to make in my pocket. Most likely I will be taking out a hefty loan to pay for it. Go for it, I say, it is an amazing opportunity that might not come around again.
Hope to see you this summer!

Only do it if you want to work in international human rights - it won't hold much sway in the corporate world. Basically it looks like a top-up/i'm trying to improve my LLB etc.

Hi there,
I just took a look at the fees they are asking - wooow... For sure there's a few nice professors in there and accomodation is included, but then again... over $9000?
One advice for people looking for a high-standing, interesting human rights summer course at a prestigeous institution in a lovely setting and nevertheless affordable (350 (!) for two weeks full-time): http://www.eui.eu/AEL/SummerCourses/. Hurry up, deadline's near.
