Oh, that's cool! What areas of law are you into? Found a supervisor yet?

Looking to do a comparative study on an area of civil procedure. Didn't find an expert at Cambridge (which means I don't have high hopes of acceptance there), but do have a professor at Oxford (who is also the convenor of the subject group) who has enthusiastically agreed to supervise me.

Oh, that's cool. I'm assuming that you are really into legal practice to be interested in this area. Good luck for your application!

Thanks. Actually, civil procedure is much less legal-practice oriented than it is in the UK. But yes, for some reason, I really like it!

Hi all,

Do you think it's too late to apply at this stage?

And can I ask how all of you propose to fund yourselves?

Thanks

Hi Michelle,

If you are talking about the Cambridge LLM, you have 3 days left for paper application.

As for funding, I'm counting on the Cambridge Trust. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi!
Please tell me, how long did it take you to finish your application?
I'm still working on mine...and this seems to be a never-ending process..., written work is exactly what concerns me the most, since I have never published any of my work. What to send?? Do they prefer fresh work or something that has already been rewarded? I dont know About the tracking system- I don't think that oxford has one.

regarding the written work, you could just check the previous posts here itself .. we have gone at length talking on this topic..

i dont think anyone of us has sent in a published work..
however, most of us did send in (or would send) shortened versions of write-ups submitted during law..

yup, no tracking system there for oxford.

as for time, it took me almost a month (around 8 or 9 sittings) to finalise the material for oxford, that was after the application for cambridge had taken an equal amount of time...

jagsmehn,

thank you so much for your kind answer!
I am probably procrastinating because I've made so many mistakes regarding my cambridge application...so I see this as my second chance :)

good luck to you!

croatia, and you? (I'm on my final year now, leading to the bachelor of law degree)
mistakes like not putting much effort in my personal statement and other answers required in the application forms...I'm not sure these things are of crucial importance, but sill....I really regret for not doing them better.

i m from india n completed llb this year..
"not putting much effort"...
one can always go back and think of a hundred things one could hv put in or avoided... i guess it is at the particular moment that the test of appropriateness is got to be applied..
