End of the inter-collegiate London LLM

How do you think guys it could affect to next year applicants?

In my case, I have already applied to KCL, UCL and QM and it was before knowing that they wouldn't run the inter-collegiate degree anymore.

It will affect of course according to me! Unless u're looking for a specific branch of law where a london college has got better tradition and teaching staff (ie banking and finance), there are other uni which offer today a very high level of education.

The problem is that on the application we have to declare what courses we're interested in taking. I wouldn't want to write something in that the school is not going to teach anymore. Not sure it will make a difference though since I don't think we will be able to find out what courses will drop off the lists at different schools. My applications will go in next week, and I won't be changing anything.

It's possible that uncertainty over this will keep some students away, but I'm sure that the individual colleges will be more than capable of countering any negative feelings that could develop. Certainly one to watch!

The end ot the inter-collegiate LLM will only affect the choice of subjects in a small way.

I am studying under the inter-collegiate programme and I noticed that popular subjects are taught by the three colleges.

The inter-collegiate programme is useful if you want to study a specific subject which is not taught in your college.

Moreover, I think that London colleges have anticipated the end ot the inter-collegiate LLM. In other terms, I think they have added subjects in their LLM that they believe necessary and were previously taught by the other colleges.

By the way, I didn't choose London because of the inter-collegiate LLM. I chose London because I wanted to study there.

Don't be lazy ;-) You just need to consult their internet site.

For example:
