Have any of you guys who applied for the chevening heard from them after the shortlisting?

No news here (South Africa)

Im not sure re India as that had a different deadline (I think?) but the various Chevening docs seemed to indicate that notification would come in march.

the deadline here was 15th november. the online guide which outlines the 'typical journey of an applicant' says, the shortlisting will be completed on 17.02.2014 i.e. today. the india website says 'all' applicants will be informed once the shortlisting process is complete..

I just checked and actually you are right, it does say short list by 17 feb.

I friend in a previous year got notified in March.

All these things take longer than they say they will.

I guess we wait :)

dont think there is any reason to worry if we dont hear anything for a few weeks.

Last year a friend of mine from Serbia applied for Chevening and received an email about shortlisted candidates in mid-March, while her interview was scheduled for beginning of April. I assume the same pattern would go this year as well - I think they are also waiting for major schools to release their offers which usually happens later February, early March! So, keep your fingers crossed:) and hope for the best!

I just got an email from Chevening re shortlisting.

This was from the South African branch, not central, so it may be different in different countries.

They advised interviews take place between 31 March and 17 April.

My interview was just scheduled for 31 March - this day was crazy! :)

From the information I received in a reply to a query, it seems that their mail system, Chevening mail system, was down for several days - requests to my referees were late so I asked if there was a problem. This was a week ago and it seems all is in order now. I do not know if this was a problem on a global level or not - so if you guys are still waiting, it could be related to this.

Hi everyone

Congratulations to those who have been shortlisted.

I am awaiting the email from Chevening containing the details of my interview. I am from South Africa, but currently resident in Taiwan. I have read that you need to attend an interview in the country of which you are a national.

However, I have heard of Skype interviews being conducted to accommodate those overseas. If anyone could shed some light on this predicament it would be appreciated.

In regard to my query above, I have had to withdraw my application as Chevening informed me that they require applicants to physically attend the interviews.

so i made a slight mistake by failing to include my current working place...can i withdraw my application, fill it in and re-submit? deadline is on 15th November 2014
