Hi all,
I got an offer for the Cambridge LL.M., but I have a doubt regarding the residence requirements.
I understand that Cambridge has a residence requirement, consisting in that all graduate students should live in the University precinct. The thing is that my husband will be living in London, so it is impossible for me to fulfill that requirement. I was planning to commute and only stay there when strictly necessary, but I see now that it is not an option.
Does anybody know how strict is the university regarding this rule? how do they control this? can you request an exemption? are exemptions common or are too difficult to obtain?
Thanks!!

Congrats on your offer!
It's not really controlled, as far I understand. However, there four lectures per week during the term + there are also small group sessions, so it would be v. inconvenient to commute daily from London. It is doable though.
