Well, to me it seems from their answer that (i) the finance stream will be available; (ii) they cannot anticipate the availability of electives. Can anyone who received the reply confirm this with them?

Do not agree. I think this is an intentionally generic answer, but it clearly indicates that there is a very strong tendency that the Finance stream will not be available. Otherwise, one could have simply confirmed that a part described in the course programme will be available. This also fits with the description on the course page.
We must not forget that the programme is a cash cow for the uni.

Don't agree either. I don't know how the other questioners' emails were worded, but I explicitly asked for confirmation that the Finance Stream would be offered again this year and that I had heard rumours that it would not. In response to such a question, I would say that it is quite clear that the Finance Stream is indeed no longer offered, but that this information is not yet to be made public, while when asked, it is also not to be lied about. This also fits in with the information that the announcement will only be made after we have had to accept our offers. Basically, the email also says this at the end of the second paragraph.

Just for the record, this rumor was false. The finance stream will be offered this year and in the foreseeable future.

For future applicants: Finance Stream will be available as normal. Watch out for this post since it is full of unsubstantiated claims. 

Does anyone know when the deadline to pay for the MLF deposit is?
