Hi, as opposed to the experience of other people on this thread, though I'd been BOGS's last Monday, I still haven't hear anything further. Also, I did put in a mail to Ms. Wade yesterday (around 1PM in UK time), but even after over 12 hours, I haven't heard anything from her. Anyone in the same boat?

Hey even my status changed last monday, and I am from India too. I think we just need to wait a little more, as everyone who has received an offer after the status change have had a waiting period of approximately 14 days, as far as I can tell from the posts above.

I got an offer from Cambridge about 2 weeks ago. Silly as I normally am, I did not indicate any College preferences in my application (don't ask me why). This morning I got notice that I have been accepted by Sidney Sussex College. Besides not being a riverfront College, I don't really know what to expect about it - any sensible information is welcome.
I went to Sidney three years ago. It is perhaps not among the richest or most aesthetically pleasing colleges and indeed not riverfront, but I think it is a great place to be for a year, in particular if you are offered on-site accomodation. In the end, what matters most are the people you meet during the year. I had the most amazing time there.

I'm also still seeking college membership and unfortunately my offer came with an almost nigh impossible academic requirement which hopefully will be adjusted (anybody with experience of this, would be interested to hear your experiences)... as well as my fee status being different from what I had expected (overseas as opposed to EU).
Do not worry too much about the academic condition. My academic condition a few years ago was mathematically impossible to obtain. You should attempt to get evidence from your university, through administrative staff or your professors, about your unofficial ranking. If someone can vouch that you are within the top 5% of your cohort you should be fine.

Does the BoGS ever give out offers on Saturday? It's been such a long wait already!
Posted Mar 21, 2015 12:35
My status is still stuck at "awaiting decision by the BoGS". I am beginning to get worried now esp after receiving a rejection from Oxford three days back:(

Is anyone who applied to the Oxford BCL still waiting to hear from them? Just had a look at the Oxford thread and it seems that A LOT of people have already heard one way or another. I know that this is probably not the right place to ask this but I thought that it would be ok since most people here have probably applied to the Oxford programme as well :)

As far as I know most offers or rejections have been made for the BCL. Maybe you should check the spam folder of your mail account.

I checked the spam folder and there´s nothing, really weird. I´ll give them a call on Monday.

Calling them is a good idea.
I called Cambridge admissions office on Thursday to ask why some if my conditions were not removed from the conditions' list in my Self-Service (passport, visa info and official transcript) although I uploaded the necessary documents and sent the transcripts by courier. The lady there checked my file and removed these conditions immediately. If I would not have called, I could have been waiting for days until they would remove the conditions because it is a very busy time for them and it takes time to manually update each candidate's documents once they arrive.
I always prefer the personal approach :)

I will definitely do that. Seems so weird that everyone besides me have already heard one way or another.. I know that they received the application because I got the confirmation e-mail once I sent it :/

Hi, from 'Awaiting decision by the BOGS' my status just changed to 'Application awaiting approval by the Board of Graduate Studies.' what the hell is going on? can somebody please explain? I'm losing my sanity now.

Can anyone share what the possible terms are under College Membership? Is "Seeking College Membership" the only possible status prior to receiving the college? Is there a way to tell if your preferred colleges have passed you over?

Hey. My status changed to "application awaiting approval" aswell. I just hope this means we are closer to an offer now.
Posted Mar 23, 2015 16:29
Well thanks you guys. It definitely is good to know that this doesn't mean I'm out of the race, but having to wait another 6 days? Goodness heavens.

Hey guys! I got my conditional offer a couple of weeks ago and still no word from Colleges..
I'm really torn between accepting Cambridge's offer or Michigan's! Since I really want to extend my stay after LLM for at least a couple of years, I feel like the US is the best place.
Do you guys have any idea if getting a temporary job in the UK is possible?
