Congrats on your offer!
I think it depends on what area of law you are interested in. I am more interested in private law, so I will elaborate on that and hopefully you find it useful.
Cambridge LLM seems to have a lot of courses in corporate law, but really lacks courses in other areas of private law, at least as of now, hopefully they do add more courses for the upcoming year (they had for instance internatinal arbitration and litigation, but they are not offered any more).
Oxford MJur/BCL seems to have way more specific courses on private law (tort, law of contract, unjust enrichmen, trusts and so on, whilst Cambridge offers only law of restitution and advanced private law). So for me Oxford would be the first choice, however I was not accepted there this year and I doubt I am ready to exchange Cambridge offer for a chance to apply the next year again.
That being said I would stick with Oxford if I were you, but it really depepends on the courses you want to take

Long time lurker here: Moved to DP in the last hour. Truly hoping that this is good news and best of luck to those still under review!
Reporting a change in the portal to « Conditional offer made » some time during today, which is 6 days after I moved to DP (see above)!!

My LLM status changed to DP on 3.13 and I received the offer yesterday. Also, information for those who applied for two programmes, I got MCL offer as well, earlier this month.

Maybe they are going through the applications based on the time of receival? I submitted right before the deadline

Still under review here - any idea how long this can go for? Could this be a waitlist situation, given that others have received rejections? But the application portal did state that they do not keep a waitlist.
If it matters: I also submitted my application right on the deadline.

I received an offer for the LLM today. I do not know if and how long I was under dp as I already got an offer for the MCL and stopped checking the portal.

Hey guys, I submitted my application back before the deadline and I've been stuck on under review since. Is there any hope left lol? Is anyone else still under review? Please like if you are. Thanks!

I am also still under review- submitted on the day of the deadline. I have offers from Oxford and Columbia but haven’t heard back from Cambridge yet. I emailed the postgrad admissions office to ask for an update but just got a copy-paste email back saying it could take up to 12 weeks to review applications.

Can a present or past student confirm if there is any hope for MCL applicants still under review by the department?
Posted Mar 27, 2024 10:51
URGENT
I applied for the MCL. Application is still under review. I wrote the IELTS and got a 6.5 in one section. I can’t send it for review since it’s been a while. Even if I sit for the test again, I can’t get a slot before 30th, and 1st April is the deadline to submit the language score. Please help me. Any advice would be helpful. Also, will they not consider my application only if I don’t submit the language test before 1st. I emailed the department asking for an extension but no response. I called the Admissions Desk for Law Faculty, and they were quite clueless and advised me to reach out to the course director for any query. I’m not sure if I should do that.

Just received my conditional offer, DP since last week. I have the feeling they are still working through applications and it‘s all random. I applied with basically the same application last year and heard back at the start of March back then. So don‘t lose hope if you‘re still dp or under review!

Did you apply for LLM or MCL or both?
