Cambridge LL.M. Applicants 2022-2023

Godbuns

Nothing, still under review. Pretty sure we’ll know something during this weeks 23-25 and next week, perhaps tomorrow!

What makes everyone think that the 23rd-25th will be an important time?

I think the degree committee meets once every month and the guess is that they will be meeting tomorrow, if I have understood the PhD thread correctly.

"don't worry about it rn" - yeah that's not going to happen.

to be honest I would be very happy if I cross the 28th, unlucky applicants are normally notified before the end of the month based on previous years.

Nothing here yet, guess they met today and we might be getting some news starting tomorrow. Positive energy and success to everyone!

Idk, but it seems they are experiencing some delay compared to previous years. At this point, people had already started hearing about rejections and this was the week on which some applicants moved to GAO. If we do not see any developments tomorrow, I guess they will move everything until next week.

I think this year they are also late with PhD applications. So far, five rejections, three PAO (two of them reapplicants). Tomorrow we may hear (PhD) for more decisions, and after that, they move to MCL and LLM, I think.

Their website says MCL decisions will be released by April 30 so I feel MCL will be delayed this year :( LLM should come out soon though.

Should we disregard this info and assume all decisions have been delayed?

“For those applicants who do not receive a decision within 12 weeks, it is likely your application has been placed on a reserve list and you should contact your department to check its status.”

I think this is more of a general rule for graduate programs in general (I might be wrong though) - but this is what it says on their LLM Website: 1 March 2022 - All admissions decisions will have been made by the Faculty by this date. However, it may take further time before you receive formal notification from the Postgraduate Admissions Office via your self-service account. Colleges will then consider your application for membership as a separate process at this point.

Honestly at this point I'm pretty certain I'm not getting it but I'd rather they just hurry up and tell me so I can get on planning for next year lol.

Hey don’t attract unlucky results, I am more than certain that you are amongst the brightest minds at your universities (LLb), wait for the final results and cheer up!!! (Don’t call it till it’s over) best of success fellow applicants colleagues!

ps: remember we’re a minority here out of 1,200 applicants. We don’t know yet and most likely we won’t know if some have been unlucky unless they share it with us, be patient, be positive and remember no news are good news, attract the result you want!

pps: remember mate unless you are told you are out, you are still in the process. I had a close friend of mine that was given an PAO/offer by mid April (2012 LLM)

Actually, it is probably a good thing that we are waiting. As first people to be communicated are those to be rejected!
