Cambridge LL.M. Applicants 2022-2023

Well I called just now and no one answered :(

There’s a number for the law department itself but not sure if they’d have the info

can anyone in the uk try ringing up the admissions team and ask them when we can expect decisions please? i am too anxious now

I have thought of doing so, but I did not find the number of the admission team online. Seems the website only disclosed contact number of the pg office but they are absolutely unsure of the evaluation process in every faculty.

I had emailed the admissions team a few weeks ago and I received a reply from one of the administrative assistants. I can try emailing her about the decisions and keep you updated if and when she replies!

For reference as I know it's helpful for future applicants to get an idea of their likelihood of getting in based on other people's profiles:

I'm a third year at Durham predicted a first by my tutors. I got a score of 67.3% in my second year which put me in the top 23% of my cohort. Applying for me to begin with was a bit of a long-shot although I have seen people get in with lower grades from Durham.

I was hoping my mooting record would somewhat make up for my slightly below par grades as I'm representing the Uni internationally in a prestigious mooting competition and won an important internal mooting competition in my second year, I'm also involved in some law-related societies.

I think my shortcomings were probably my second year grade and having only done 1 mini-pupillage at a fairly non-prestigious set, my plan now is to reapply next year hopefully having graduated with a first and having done lots more mini-pupillages - best of luck everyone :)

Does anyone know the order which they use for assessing or updating applicants? in the order of the application number, USN, last names?

I remember from the previous year's threads that there is no order or scheme to their approach, it appears to be quite random in that sense.

No point in asking when applications were submitted then in the hopes of discerning if the application number would give an indication of when you can expect the portal to be updated...

Thanks for the information!

My application is still under review. Could someone please share the MCL website link that’s updated? I’ve applied for both and I’m really anxious:(
