Cambridge LL.M. 2014 - 2015 Applicants

Alessa

Does anybody know what is the difference between the "The degree committee is satisfied with your application" status and the "Awaiting decision by the Board of Graduate Studies" status?

I don't think there is a difference. If you click on "View/Amend" in the right column, you get to another page. There is a status information below the table that gives the "Satisfied but not yet approved" message. At least that's what my Camsis does. Hope that dissolves your confusion.

Thank you!

I'm a final year undergrad from a russell group university and I have yet to see a status change too. B/g 1st class, top 2.5% of cohort in second year.

Not one UK final year undergrad has posted about an offer yet, although I know that a current Cambridge undergrad does have one. I am fairly certain that they are proceeding by region for current undergrads and that the UK and North America (excluding Mexico) have not received any offers yet. I don't know if there are any other untouched parts of the globe... (edit - France also, it seems)

IMO we are waiting until Monday now, although maybe a chance of hearing something on Saturday. It sounds as though you have an excellent chance of getting in!

Ah, that's good to hear! After all the speculation on here about today being "European day" I was a bit worried, but now I feel quite calm. I guess it's going to be next week for Belgians, Frenchies and others.

From Canada, very excited to have been BOGS'd yesterday. Hoping this is as good a sign as the consensus on this forum suggests :)

I haven't heard from Gates yet - do you guys think that they will send out refusal e-mails, or they will just ignore those who are not interesting enough?

I'd imagine given the sheer volume of applicants, they would only notify successful applicants, although I sincerely hope I'm wrong!

at least there's still some hope since no UK final year undergrad has posted an offer, apart from internal Cambridge applicants. I guess we'll have to wait till Monday. I did drop a note to Ms Wade but there's no reply from her.

I'm from India too. My CAMSIS still says 'awaiting consideration'. I don't think they're going to change anything over the weekend - you should probably wait till Monday (at the very least :))

Haha. Yeah, thanks. Though if it doesn't change on Monday, I will probably give up hope. :|

With regards to giving up hope, I'm all for British pessimism but it seems strange to ascribe substantial meaning from the fact that you have not had your result communicated or even assessed. If indeed the applications are going by country/classification within that country (hence the UK undergrads who haven't heard back) then it seems that the cohort of applicants should chin up or at the very least, attempt to reach a place of application zen until this arduous interminable wait comes to a close.

Rightly said. For our own sanity, at the very least.

The nerves have turned me into a drama queen. :P

Hi guys! I'm new to the discussion board, although I've been following it for the past week. I'm from Chile but study in the US. I was made a conditional offer on Thursday. Looking forward to seeing you all in Cambridge!
