Cambridge LL.M. 2014 - 2015 Applicants

Mark W

Congratulations to everyone who has got an offer! So far, 4 offers! Let the heart attacks and delusions begin! The last offer should be made by the 15th of March especially for international students who applied for Gates Cambridge.
To those of us who are still waiting, lets keep expect the best! I have resolved to check CAMSIS once every day in the morning.

I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that the one person who reported getting an offer for the LLM weeks ago will have been the one put forward by the Law faculty as a potential Gates scholar because the departmental nominations must be done by a certain date in February.

That is just speculation on my part, I'm not even eligible for a Gates scholarship as a UK citizen so might be total rubbish....

If you follow this link http://www.gatescambridge.org/apply/timetable.asp you will realise that interviews for international students are conducted in late march although shortlisting is done in early March. The USA Scholar list has already been released but sadly, there is no LLM student!

I stand corrected.

Well, congratulations everyone!
The long wait continues for the rest of us!
If you have got an offer already, do you mind telling us a little bit about your credentials and your country of residence? Thanks.

Searching for a crumb of comfort. How many of those with offers have already finished their undergraduate degrees?

Or perhaps putting it the other way, is there anyone with an offer that has not yet graduated? I know 3/5 at least have.

Heh, just searching for reasons that I might not have been made an offer yet other than that the Cambridge admissions team thinks I'm a lot shitter than I think I am!

CMB2014 posted that his offer was conditional only on a financial undertaking. Ergo, he must have graduated already, otherwise he would also have a condition based on exam results. f29 posted that he 'graduated first in his class'. One of the other offerees I know from elsewhere and know that they have graduated.

So it seemed like a possible theory, it may of course be completely wrong and the 'they think I'm shit' correct.

Even if the theory is correct that doesn't imply that you, as a graduate, are screwed. All offers made so far have been made to graduates is not the same theory as 'all graduates who are going to get an offer have got one already'.

Heh, I think I'm just in a bad mood today. I'm on a mini-pupillage this week and keep getting distracted from it by refreshing bloody Camsis :)

Last year over 400 offers were made.

Over 200 people turned up for the LLM.

And yes, very few offers have been made at most. So keep waiting - at least til the end of this week before thinking twice about yourself.
