Cambridge application 2018/2019

Guys, how long does it take for the offer to become unconditional, provided all the docs are in order?

For me it took 4-5 days every time for the GOA to process my documents. I didn't upload them all at once though, so it might be different if you do that.

Ditto. Rejected by my first, still waiting on second.

Any news from your side?

Still nothing at my end..

As of 24 hours ago the Portal says I've been accepted at Trinity Hall, my second preference. Haven't received anything from them direct yet though.

Hi all! Does anybody know whether LLM students get automatically considered for scholarships or funding regardless of the College they're admitted into? I read that 80% of scholarships awarded last year didn't require a separate application. I was wondering if this still holds true for LLM students. Many thanks!

I understand that is the case. But in relation to funding from the University, not the Colleges themselves.

Has anyone actually received any news on funding?

Thank you very much!

Hi. At the risk of sounding enormously stupid, what does this mean: "Awaiting approval by GAO" (Graduate Admissions Office)? I mean is it a good thing if my status changed to that or is it a non-material equivalent of 'Under review by the department'?

P.S. - It's pertaining to MCL and not LLM. (hence the delay)

Hi Guys

Do you think that Cambridge will accept a score of 100 TOEFL (if I got 26 points in 3 of the 4 elements - the one element's score is 23 points)? I am thinking of just uploading this score and see what they say because I have taken it for the second time now. Interested to hear your thoughts and if this has worked for any of you here? Thank you.

It's unlikely that Cambridge will accept any score below the required scores.
My initial score for IELTS was 8 with 8.5 in listening, 9 in Reading, and 6.5 in writing. I was told my scores did not meet the requirement of 7.5 overall and 7 for each component. I was asked to take the exam again.
