Hi yall,
For someone wanting to operate a law firm,
- which business and law studies do you recommend taking?
- do you recommend business studies before or after the law degree?
- how long does one work along another lawyer before being on his/her own
Thank you

I doubt anyone will be able to answer this, marko f.
If you want to practice law, however, you should study that last.

Thanks for your reply P..
yeah it may be a tough question..
Can you explain a little more why one should study it last?
Do you speak from experience?

No, I am not a solo practitioner.
In most jurisdictions you will have some sort of process to undergo after you finish your legal education in order to qualify for the bar. Often this requires finding an firm or practitioner to hire you (even if you want to open your own shop later). A gap in your CV after completing your legal education tends to get interpreted as your not being interested.
Doing law and then leaving it after graduation (whether you qualify at that time or not) is just not a good idea.

@ P_Martini:
Do you want to share more your experience as practionner?
Would it be easy for you to cross-over from lawyer to entrepreneur if you wanted to ?
thanks
