Hi all,
Could anyone guide me with some of the finest LLMs available across UK in Intellectual Property Laws and/ or in Business Laws? Kindly let me know how you would rate the programmes if available from different universities.
How is LLM in IPL from King's College London?
Here, I want to emphasise that I cannot afford an LLM in UK via personal funding. What are the chances of availing full-paid scholarships for any of the programmes that you may list in your reply?
I have always secured first class throughout my education... will this be an added advantage in availing the scholarship?
When does the application process commence for 2008-09 enrollments ?
Many thanks in advance. I would appreciate if someone can give me a first hand information....
Thanks again...

I hear that King's is very strong in IP. I also hear that Queen Mary excels in that area as well. Basically, if its anything commercial orientated, you can't go wrong by going to King's.
With regards to scholarships, competition is fierce. Or, at least that is my experience as a domestic (British) applicant. I may be right in thinking there are more scholarships available for international students - partly because universities want to get lots of foreign students in as it looks good on prospecti, and maybe also because the strength of the pound combined with high London living costs makes personal funding even more difficult for foreign students than it is for British.
Getting a first class honours in your undergrad will no doubt help you getting a scholarship as they are often given on the basis of merit. However, I got a first class degree from Kings, and it didn't help me secure a scholarship at LSE (or any support whatsoever, annoyingly), so it is by no means certain. Don't make plans on the assumption you'll get one.
Hope that helps/
