Being a lawyer in the UK

srbakir

Hi everyone,

My bachelor degree is in business administration. Now i am having my master degree here in Turkey. I got offers from UK universities for LLM.

I wonder if there is a chance to be a lawyer for me after graduating one of these LLM programs or not? Does my bachelor degree makes it impossible to be a lawyer?

It doesn't work the same way in the UK as it does in the U.S.

In U.K, you either have the traditional 3 year LLB, 2 year senior status LLB, or 1 year Graduate Diploma in Law, as a prerequisite. After pursuing one of three degrees aforementioned, you can choose between solicitor or barrister route, followed by a 2 year training contract.

Hope I answered your question.
