I've been offered a place in the BCL and have just been looking at the courses offered online. Evidence, restitution and conflicts all look really interesting, but I've heard that these are incredibly difficult and require a great deal of work, even in comparison to other BCL units. Does anyone out there have any experience in these units?
The other units I'm interested in are: In't Economic Law; Transnational Commercial Law; Procedure; Crime, Justice and the Penal System; and Competition Law. I know that's a bit of a list, but I'm hoping that there might be a few different people out there who have done one or more of those units and who can offer some advice/give their thoughts as to whether they are worthwhile doing and give me an idea as to the workload required?
Any comments, thoughts would be greatly appreciated! In the end, I think that my choice of unis will come down to the units they offer and how many I can find that I think I would get value from. That's why I'm looking at this so early on!

As a general rule of thumb, ANYTHING on the BCL is hard work! (2 essays and 2 seminars a week - you applied for it.)
I've heard that the Conflict of Laws is a fabulous course.

hi i have heard that sometimes even though you get a university offer you might not get a college offer from oxford, is this true? would anyone have any information?

Hey Kaya,
Once you get an offer from the faculty you definitely get an offer from a college, it just might not be the college of your first choice. First choice college decisions are due by the 21 April so fingers crossed!
Hope this helps!!
