Thanks for the words of encouragement Melbsolicitor. Nevertheless, I much rather think the worse and be surprised than being deadly disappointed if bad news come through... though yes, as much as I suppress it, there is a little flame of hope burning in my heart. I know it's corny, oh well. This has become such an emotional struggle!
Daking, it is a bit strange that you have been notified on Saturday night, but the ways of Cambridge are mysterious so who knows!

I wrote an email to Mrs Wade on Friday.
On Saturday I received 2 emails. The first (containing the conditional offer) came in at 11:37 which means 10:37 in England. The second came in at 14:00 (13:00 in England) containing the conditions of the offer:
College - Obtaining membership of one of the Cambridge Colleges (which we will arrange for you)
Finance - proving that you can meet the costs of the course
Academic - confirming that you have either completed, withdrawn from or have permission to intermit from your current course of study at University of Bonn.

CONGRATULATIONS DAKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can verify daking's statement that they seem to work on Saturdays. I received my first offer email in December (!), and until Friday, my CamSIS status hadn't changed (!!). I just checked it again one minute ago, and it now says "you have been recommended for an offer subject to BGS approval". All those who have received the informal email should not be worried about their status. I'm pretty sure that the update and the official BGS letter will arrive in the next few days.
To all those who haven't heard anything yet: I wish you the best and hope you get an offer email!

Congrats daking! I can also verifiy your statement. My Camsis also changed yesterday to "you have been recommended for an offer subject to BGS approval", although I have received an offer in January already. Mrs. Wade was working yesterday for sure as I also received an email around noon from her. I guess they have a lot of work to do... ;-)

I found this thread: http://www.gradunion.cam.ac.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12741&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15
where people are basically discussing which colleges they've been accepted by (already as early as 1 Feb), which confirms my suspicions that the administrative lag in dealing with LLMs is likely to affect our college placement. I hope to be proven wrong...

Heya LLMblogger,
A friend of mine who got accepted into a physics postgrad course for year 2010/2011 has already received his college offer.
But I doubt that will affect us much as colleges usually reserve spaces for different programmes, I believe. That's how it works for the undergrad courses at least.

My status has not changed... my papers are still with the degree committee... is it possible? or I just should give up any hope I have left?
PS and I have not received any e-mail...
have a nice night! Congrats to those in!

Onefootinthedoor, I hope you're right about colleges reserving places for different subjects!
18120, no need to give up hope just yet. Camsis seems to be the last thing that gets updated. It seems that offers are still being made (see above) so you may be the next one in line.

I also think so... My offer also came in after the official deadline (15th of April). So don't give up hope...

I got my offer email on the 31st of March but my CAMSIS is yet to be updated. What is happening? I'm getting worried.

I got my offer email on the 31st of March but my CAMSIS is yet to be updated. What is happening? I'm getting worried.Congratulations on your offer, Wols. Not sure why you're worried though. The website says: "Since the Law Faculty e-mails successful applicants directly, in practice you will likely find out in the first instance about your offer by e-mail. This will be followed up by a formal offer letter from the Board of Graduate Studies. This can take several weeks, so applicants who have received e-mail notification of their offer should not be concerned about a delay."

Hey All, I just spoke to Ms Wade. She said that if an email is sent to her this morning, she will let you know by afternoon what the status of your application is. She said that decisions have been made but not all offer emails have been sent out. When an email is sent to her, she will check the database for the state of your application and then email you the decision.
To all the brave ones, send her an email. I wish you all the best of luck. I am going to send her an email now. Wish me luck :)

I've got a friend who did an LLM at Cambridge two years ago. His CAMSIS was only updated weeks after he received his official offer letter. So we just have to remain calm!
