Dear friends,
What is the best accomodation currently available for studying Intercollegiate LLM at QM? Mile End campuses vs. Intercollegiate halls?
I would prefer a single room with a shower.
I was told that registration for LLM at QM is 25 September. Is it true. What is the particular time and place.
Thank you in advance for your replies.

Hi there. I have been told that September 25 is registration day - I'm going to UCL but apparently all of the colleges register on the same day, what with it being an inter-collegiate degree. Still haven't received anything from UCL Laws but they say we should receive more information by early September. Maybe QM is the same? Hope this helps.

Thank you.
I have also not received any information from QM.
I plan to arrive to London on September 25, since I am not able to come prior to this date. I hope that registration takes place during the whole day. But I think it is better for me to call and check with QM.
I have not received any accomodation confirmation. I have applied to Intercollegiate Halls. I was told that they are not so bad.

I don't know when you applyed for accomodation, but i think it could be usefull for you knowing that people that applyed in late July are in watching list for accomodation...so think about a plan B) if QM will be not able to offer a place to stay while attending your LLM....
You can find more information about that on this board: "People handing at QM 2006"....
About the registration day...watch your payment of the fee for time, as that day the registration office will ack you the receipt of the payment....
good luck...

Dear Vinlaw
I applied last week and have not received any accomodation confirmation yet. I hope they will find some place to accomodate me at one of QM's campuses or intercollegiate halls. Thank you for letting me know to be ready for own accomodation.
By the way, I spoke with QM today. That told me that registration starts at 10 am on 25th of September.

I was told that it is vital to be on September 25 for registration, because on this date LLM candidates will be given a lot of information they need for stduy at QM. In case you are not able to attend on September 25, I advise you to call Sue Sullivan. She is very helpful and can work it out for you.

starpo2000, thanks a lot. That's really helpful.
It is nice that you are so optimistic. When I read your message, I really believed that it is easy to find some private accomodation. So, will cross the fingers.

thanks for irony..:) but I have been in London since Sept.06 so I've got some friends here and know how does it going..:)but it is really not difficult.. just go to www.gumtree.com or Loot.com or just use google.. and especially the provided accom. is in my modest opinion quite expensive...:)

Hi, I have been told that the inter-collegiate halls are good too. I have applied but still waiting to hear about spaces. I think all of the necessary induction processes eg. ID cards are done on the 25th Sep' so I think it will probably be done on the one day. Obviously, following that there are the individual class inductions which I believe run for the first 2 weeks.
Thank you.

Still no information from UCL as yet. Have received a letter confirming acceptance but apparently more info to follow in a couple of weeks. Does anybody know if there is an induction where all inter-collegiate students attend or are they all held individually by the colleges?
