Aberdeen X Edinburgh

Could you give me a hand here? Both me and my girlfriend intend to apply to these universities (I will focus my research in the area of commercial/corporate law and she will focus in criminal law). I think that with regard to LLB, Aberdeen has a better rep., but in terms of LLM, I am not too sure... any thoughts?
We will also apply to the London Schools (LSE, UCL and KCL) and Oxbridge, but I think we have a better shot at Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Personally, I am keen to go to Scotland.

if you prefer Scotland....Edinburgh is the city...!
Its the best city...!
But then...please check for the location...! I prefer Edinburgh's locations...!
However, the castle of Aberdeen University is more beautiful...(its one of these Hogwarts of Harry Potter series)...its very beautiful..!

But then yes...its true that Edinburgh will give you better job prospects in case of LLBs....!
But it depends on your choices..!
So i prefer that you make a complete research on both Universities...including..modules, staff, student:teacher ratio, accommodation, tuition fees, life style, size of the city, social life, the method of assessment, further prospects, etc...!

Thanks Legal_India. I have been doing a lot of research, however I am having trouble to choose which one (of course it is all in theory, since I haven't even applied yet). Edinburgh surely has a better overall reputation, but when it comes to law, I am leaning towards Aberdeen... But, like I said, I'm not sure...

Between Aberdeen and Edinburgh in the field of law, Edinburgh is ranked #1 in Scotland above Aberdeen in the most recent RAE evaluation that came out in Dec 2008. The RAE is based on the research, quality of teaching, quality of internationally important publications, etc...not student polls. These are key for the LLM quality.
Not to mention that Edinburgh as a city beats Aberdeen hands down...not only in beauty but also in weather!
Good luck!

I am a current Aberdeen LLM student.
In my mind, all depend on the area U wanna focus on.
For energy, IP and international law I'd say Aberdeen.
For the rest I would say edinburgh.
