Hi everyone! I'm working on my application to HLS and NYU for academic year 2009-2010. I will take an iBT Toefl this Saturday Oct 18, 08 and again on Nov 1,08. The deadline is Dec 1, 09. However, I have just found out that it will take 3 weeks before ETS send the score report to me and additional 2-3 weeks after we requested ETS online to send a report to university. Therefore, I'm so afraid that HLS will not be able to receive my report by deadline.

I see in the HLS instruction saying that " Please arrange to have an official TOEFL score report sent directly to the Graduate Program as soon as possible (but no later than December 1)

Can anyone tell me if this means that I can not send an original report myself to HLS and that HLS will have to receive the report before Dec 1 (regardless of the fact that ETS send before Dec 1 but HLS does not receive it yet)?

The ETS sends report simultaneously to you and the school. therefore, the schools will receive the report almost at the same time when you will be receiving.

In any case, you should complete your application with the report/scores; they are most likely to consider your application and accept the documents like TOEFL report on a later date also.
