If TOEFL scores less than u need

kem

Hi everybody! HLS, Columbia or Yale would review your application if your scores in TOEFL are less than they require.
And Who can tell me which universities from "ivy-league" can suggest taking pre-sessional english courses if u have scored less than minimum u need to be admited.

I have heard that Harvard,Yale,Columbia etc. can suggest u conditional offer if u have strong credentials, for example, if u have 560 in TOEFL, but u have strong background some universities from ivy-league can do exeption for u, they would suggest u take prep. course. So your TOEFL scores, i think, is not the problem.

Hey Guys!

I really do not want to take someone´s hope, but have you already considered that most applicants of these schools have strong credentials and do easily fulfil the language requirement simultanously. So why should these schools admit fine students without sufficient language skills, if they can have fine students with perfect language skills?
All people I know who have been admitted to HLS, Yale or Columbia have Toefl scores far above 260 points. Most of them are rather fighting for a 300 points score than for achieving the minimum standard of 250 points.
Anyway, good luck for your approach. Maybe you should better apply for some schools that are not that prestigious but do have good programs as well. For example Boston University seems to admit people per conditional offer in connection with a pre-sessional course.
