Hi everyone,
anyone of you have experience with unseccesfull IELTS exam?
i dont have my results yet, but I am worried that i will not score enough to fulfill the condition of Edinburgh University, especially from writing part:( Does anyone know if there is still chance to reset it or the uni could reject the offer it has already given me?
thanks a lot for any advice..
best luck to all of you..

Hi,
I'm doing LLM at Edinburgh right now. I experienced this problem last year. I had got a conditional offer, and then I took IELTS many times and got only 6.5. At first I didn't think I could study LLM at Edinburgh so I planned to move to Glasgow or Aberdeen. Fortunately, finally I could get an unconditional offer.
I'm not quite sure about your question (chance to reset). Because you can take IELTS many times (as I did) and don't need to inform Edinburgh if you got the overall score below than 7.0. You can send the IELTS result until September.
Anyway, in my case, when I applied for IELTS test, I didn't ask IELTS to inform my result to any university. I chose to inform by myself. If you asked IELTS to inform the result to Edinburgh, and you got less than 7.0. You should contact the College of Humanities and Social Science about this and tell them that you're going to retake IELTS.
Hope this is helpful and good luck to you!

Hi,
thanks a lot for your reply...Im glad to have at least some information..
I dont know my results yet, i should find out this week, but im worried not cause of repeating exam (i know i can do that as many times as i want), but cause i asked for results to be sent directly to uni, maybe wrong step though...so i hope uni will give me another chance to repeat the exam if my score isnt enough for them..
thanks again..
