Columbia_TOEFL scores

Hi,
I have a question regarding TOEFL IBT scores required by CLS for admission. According to Columbia's website the minimum scores are 105 overall, with 26 on Reading and Listening sections and 24 on the Speaking and Writing sections.
I have recently taken my test and got only 96 with 20 on Reading, 21 on Writing, 27 on Speaking and 28 on Listening. I know it looks weird that I understand what is said and can easily reply to it, but do not handle the same content when it is in written. One could say that I am English paper-based skills illiterate;)
Anyway, my question is whether any of you is or was (LL.M. applicants/graduates) in the same or similar situation? Do you see any chance for admission providing that other factors of my application are strong?
Many thanks in advance for your reply!

Hi Zuza

I got admitted few weeks ago under the early review program with 102 points in the Toefl. My admission is conditioned upon enrolling in a 4 week english language course given by Columbia in July 2015. So, I believe you do have chances of getting in, although I would give Toefl a second chance.

Dear Zuza,

I am still in awaiting for Columbia's decision concerning my application, but if you feel uneasy and do not receive the response you expected in this post, you can review the Columbia - AppTracker (http://www.llm-guide.com/university/585/columbia-university-columbia-law-school-cls/apptracker) and go over each admitted student from previous years and see if any admitted student had a TOEFL below 100, which I believe is the minimum standard in most of the T-5 Universities. In a quick review, I see 102, 103, but I wasn't able to find anything under 100. I know it is tedious, but perhaps you will find any decision in your favor that can't be provided by the current applicants.

I've noticed in older posts that if Columbia isn't satisfied with your TOEFL they might ask you for an English Language Course, as LLMEFR said.

Best of luck!

LLMEFR, did you apply on the early track? I applied on the regular track.
I have the same problem, Zuza, I am still trying the 105. I am expecting a new TOEFL result right now.
My best score so far is 102.Even though I have achieved 27 in all abilities (sometimes in 3 of them at the sametime).

Anyway, I was accepeted by Northwestern yesterday!

Guys, Thank you for your replies! I consider retaking TOEFL next week. I only worry that the scores will not be delivered to CLS before the Committee starts to process my application.
