Hi there,
I have just completed my second year studying History Queen Mary, University of London, and am considering applying for a GDL at the College of Law in September 2009. I have some queries that I would appreciate being answered though.
- I am trying to attain work experience on a Summer vacation scheme in the Summer of 2009 and I would like to know if there were any specific firms that could be recommended - I have already considered Norton Rose and Moss & Co.
- Having lived in London for 2 years now, I know how expensive living in London can be, and I would like to know the procedure for applying for funding for the GDL and the LPC afterward.

Thanks Very Much

if you get a training contract - most firms will pay for your gdl and lpc + a small stipend for living expenses - so you wouldnt need to apply for funding separately. as for choosing your firms - it's hard to say since it depends on what you're looking for - the chambers student guide is pretty useful esp if you're focusing on city firms.
