I am an international applicant applying for LLM programs for fall 2022. I I am reusing two letter of recommendation from my teachers but both of them have left my alma matar. One of them is teaching at another university and the other teacher has retired from the profession. Both my teachers have assured me that the letters of recommendation were on a university letterhead along with digital signatures from the teachers. My questions were :
1. Can I use these letters in my application ?
2. Can my recommenders upload the letter if they are not a part of the institution anymore?

Hi there, I'd argue it is acceptable to use those letters if they were drafted and are dated when those professors still taught at the University named on the letterhead. Your recommenders will be able to upload the letters through their new professional email addresses.
Hope this helps, good luck!
