LL.M Admissions - IP and Tech Law.

Hello!

I am Preethi, former Assistant Professor of Law (~3 years experience). I have taught Intellectual Property Law and many other subjects during my stint as a professor. However, I eventually moved to a policy consultant role with the Ministry of Commerce; working on IP Policy and International IP Matters for India for about 6 months.

Educational Qualifications:

Dual undergraduate degree- Journalism and Law
Gold Medalist in Journalism- GPA 6.3/7
Undergraduate Degree in Law - GPA 3.2/4
Master’s Degree (General) - GPA 5.6/8

Both my law degrees are from top law universities in India.

I intend to apply for LL.M in Tech and IP Law, and hence I need some honest evaluation of my profile. I was wondering what are my chances of getting into the top universities for Tech &IP Law in both US and UK.

Universities in UK value your GPA over other factors. You may have a shot at QMUL, Durham, and Bristol. QMUL is the best option so far regarding your grade. However, it is different in US. I can't say anything much if you have a chance in T14 or not. However, give it a shot at Cornell, UCLA, Berkley, Northwestern, universities in Washington (Washu, Georgetown etc), and UCs.
