So, I have recently graduated from my Bachelor's studies and I am now planning to start studying an LLM and am, of course, hoping to pursue a career in Law afterwards. I have a dilemma though, because for a long time now I have been willing to get myself a tattoo - on the nape of my neck, nothing outrageous, just a quote, and preferably rather subtle.
I have thought about this a lot, and I have read loads of various forum topics on lawyer-appropriate tattoos, lawyers with tattoos, the influence of tattoos on the lawyers' careers, and everything related. The threads were mostly a bit old, and this should seem like a matter that needs no further discussion: lawyers should not sport a visible tattoo, because that still happens to cause them problems at work. I've been wondering if the situation has changed at all or not.
Do you guys have similar experiences or wisdom to share on that? Who of you have had problems because of tattoos at work? It would be really cool to hear our your opinions.
Cheers!

It wont keep you from getting a job as a lawyer (a collegue has one), but it is definitely not a plus.
