Law and Economics

I am very interested in pursuing a degree in Law and Economics. I had a few questions if anyone can help.

1) Are there any good MA programs that someone knows about in North America?

2) Will this place me in a good position for a job in Banking? An MBA is difficult to be accepted to for me as I don t have full time work experience.

3) I have an LLM already so seeking either an MA in Economics or Law and Economics.

Thanks!

it's not in the US but Oxford is launching an exciting new degree in Law and Finance. It's run by both the law faculty and the business school:

it may well be of interest..

In Europe there are two good programs that might be attractive to you. In Frankfurt, the Institute of Law and Finance offers a good LLM program covering the international banking and finance sectors. This year, ILF LLM students were also offered the option to earn an MBA from the Goethe Business School for half price following completion of the LLM. Another highly regarded program is the European Master of Law and Economics program taught at Hamburg, Bologna, Rotterdam, and other partner universities. If you are just looking for a top notch economics program in the U.S. and not necessarily a law program, then check out the Economics department at the University of Chicago.

Thanks for the info. I was aware of the Oxford MLF course.

I stumbled upon the MA in Law and Economics at Berkeley. Anyone have any more info or experience in this?

I've looked at just economics programs but they require a lot of undergrad maths which I do not have despite possessing high marks in advanced maths prior to beginning undergrad as I started an Economics degree before dropping out.
