L.L.M in General law

Hello members.
I need guidance from you all. I have plans to do L.L.M from u.k in 2012. So, kindly, honor me with your valuable guidance about L.L.M, as i have no proper knowledge about it.
>> one of my friend told me that it's better to do General l.l.m, as it doesn't restrict you to a certain filed, as corporate and commercial law is only successful in those countries which are economically strong( u.s.a and europe).

>>Students of third world country(asian) should select general l.l.m, as it might help them in all the fields of laws.

>> can i keep the combination of (corporate+ commercial +human rights law+intl-law) in my general l.l.m course???? any idea about it?

>> if not then what would be best course/subject selection in General l.l.m ?

>> or, it's better to do be specialized in one field then generally in all fields ( l.l.m corporate or l.l.m commercial )

>> Kindly, guide me briefly.

There is no secure metric for choosing an LLM, or any graduate degree, program. In the end, the graduate must enter the work force and make his/her living in a career. So, while you still have an opportunity to enjoy yourself before entering the next 50 years of being a lawyer, you might as well choose a program/school based on what will make you happy. Sure, pick the best school you can get accepted into, but do not pick that way if you will also be unhappy. There are so many options. In the end, the decision has to come from you based on your personal goals and interests.
