My current firm (International office of a US based firm) and my internship firm (International office of a magic circle firm) very prefer Columbia, Stanford, NYU, and Penn grads (as many partners graduated from these particular circles).
However, it's very marginal preference and Georgetown is very strong law school. We have partners graduated from Georgetown and they have very good standing in the legal industry here.
If u get the scholarship from Georgetown, that's very great opportunity and you should take it!
U can mention about the scholarship received in your linkedin or during your future job interviews. This is a great value adding too :)
You're probably thinking definitely Columbia when you click this thread, but here's the thing: I've received full tuition scholarship from Georgetown. So here's my question: is Columbia THAT deserving?
Thank you in advance for anyone who weighs in.

Thank you for that helpful insight. Hopefully I can't go wrong here.
Georgetown isn't as famous in my country, and I was worried it might be a problem. But it seems to be a well respected law school within the States.
