APPLICATION QUESTION

tota

While filling in application forms I have many times come across the question that I really don't know how to answer : have you applied to any other universities? And if yes, which ones? What should we say? I guess one should definitely not lie on their application, but I was wondering which the right way to answer is. Do we mention all the institutions? Do we just mention those with better reputation ? Or the opposite??? Should we omit the ones in the same state?

I have read that when using LSAC (if this may be the case) Unis can acces to information of what other reports you have requested. Therefore, they know everywhere else you are applying to. Just a tip.

You have a point! However, I have not applied through LSAC.

I've come across the very same question and I've been utterly honest in my answer. I just named all the other universities (or as many as I could given that I've applied to 11 universities - all in the UK). I don't think it's played a role in the decision-making process. I've been offered places on several programmes (at UCL, KCL and Aberdeen). I find it hard to believe that any university would expect an applicant to be "faithful" and apply only for their specific programme... especially LLMs which have become so popular amongst students. Maybe if we were talking about a PhD or something, but not an LLM.
