Hi there,
I know it might be a silly question to ask, but is it really impossible to get a first hon LLB ? I have talked to a lot of my lawyer friends, no matter how smart they are, they told me the same thing " it is impossible to get a 1st hon LLB".
anyone got it and how did you do it?
thx!
a 1st hon LLB? is it possible

Yes i think its possible. I know many people who have in my country where the maximum GPA is 3.0. Two girls from my university obtain 3.0 which means they only got straight A's.
I got 2.5 but i think i could have done so much better if I wasnt working so much at the end of my final year at uni.
Dont worry much about it and just try your best and your conscience will let you sleep :)
by the way most people who get into oxford and cambridge have 1 hon LLB from what I've hear and seen here at this forum.

Hey there,
Thanks!
Now I feel better :) some of my friends they work so hard (like read 5-6 hours per day) and they are very smart, but still, they could only get a very high 2:1....so I started to think maybe 1st hon LLB is just a legend :)
have a nice day!
Thanks!

Hi, are you going to UCL? (just found out in the old posts)
Your grade must be really good!!! You will have to have 1st Hon to get in there, right? I am thinking to have my LLM at LSE or UCL, hope but first need to have a good LLB!
Is it really difficult to get in? Apart from academic qualifications, any other stuffs they will ask for?
Thx!
