Hello!
Just wanted to start a discussion for all of us who are applying this year at a Danish university.
We can give each other support through the long wait of receiving an answer (in June, I expect).
I applied for the LLM in Copenhagen. Not sure how difficult it is to get accepted, but hopefully I can start studying there this year! :-)
Cheers!
Who is applying to study in Denmark!? :-)

Fellow University of Copenhagen LLM applicant here :) I thought I'd be all alone but thankfully I've been proven wrong!
As for the difficulty of admission, given the apparent lack of interest on terms of posts in this site, my guess would be that it can't be any more difficult than for the usual suspects (e.g. universities in the Netherlands, Germany, UK).
The only issue is the amount of Danish students applying and the priority given to UCPH graduates.
Hopefully the answer will come earlier because frankly the housing situation is definitely one of the toughest in Europe (especially in June-July)..

Hello!
I would like to get some feedback on the LLM course at University of Copenhagen from the current students. I am planning on applying for 2018-2019. Also, some input on life in Denmark will be very helpful.

Heya!
I applied in January and I am still waiting. Did you get an answer? I graduated LL.B. from Maastricht University but my grade wasn't very good. I hope I compensate it with my current internship in the European Parliament. Also waiting for the KU Leuven dual degree...

Hi guys,
I would like to apply for next year but I'm a little bit worried about the admission. I am a Spanish graduate in law in Spain. I have a good GPA from the bachelor and master and I have been working for two years at an international law firm. However, I don't know if the criteria for admission are hard or with my profile it is possible to get admitted. I'm specially worried because I have a previous master, but it is only to become a lawyer in Spain, so its not useful in Denmark. If somebody has information about the difficulty of the admission in the master, please send me a message. I would have to quit my current job so I would like to be "sure" that I will be able to get accepted.
Thanks in advance.
Best,
J.

Hi Jm26,
You should contact the University of Copenhagen and ask them if your education will suffice for admission. In order to be admitted, you must have legal education similar to the Danish Bachelor of Laws, i.e. you do not need a master's degree to be admitted into the LL.M. at the University of Copenhagen (but any LL.B. awarded within the European Union would normally suffice). While the university cannot give you a conclusive answer beforehand, they should be able to guide you properly.

Hi elerethe,
Thank you for your answer. Yes, maybe my message was not clear enough but I do indeed have a bachelor in law (in Spain), so theoretically, I think that i fulfill the requirements.
I have already contacted the university but I wanted to speak with somebody who has studied or has been studying the LLM at KU to ask for their experiences (about admission, employability and general information about the courses for example).
Did you study the programme by any chance?
Thanks!

Hi Kingofkodi,
Yes, I applied in February and I have already received the admission to the master, so I will be studying the master from September. Have you also applied? Did you receive any news?
