Hello Guys,

Congratulations to the rest of you.

I have been selected to the program. Has anyone heard from the Admission office coz i need to get working on my Visa. (I am from India). Guess the rest of you don't need one to be attending the course.

Did anyone figure out housing? I am a little unsure of when how long it would take me to find a place. I am thinking of coming down to Vienna by the third week of september.

Cheers,

Hello! I'm from Ukraine so I have to get visa to. Dont think admission office will help. They don't deal with visa issues as i know. I made a reservation for the appartment through housing Wien. There is a good choice of flats for students. So good luck to you and see you in September)

Hello all,

one more:) I've been accepted to our LLM programm (in English) and now I would also like to know when it begins. But it seems that we will first get to know each other than the actual starting date, which is not so bad either :)

Hi all. I have also been accepted to this program :)

has any of you figured out accommodation yet? are any of you using services of www.housing.oead.ac.at/? I tried to secure accommodation myself, unfortunately, most student residence halls/dormitories are full. you guys can still check them out, though:

http://www.stuwo.at/en/
http://www.akademikerhilfe.at/
http://www.home4students.at/
http://www.wihast.at/
http://oejab.at/
http://studentenheim-gasometer.at/

How are you all dealing with your student residence permit? Do you settle it in your home country, or intend to do it in Vienna? I would prefer to apply for my permit here in Malaysia, however, i cannot provide the documents needed such as proof of accommodation and proof of health insurance. Can anyone tell me how I can obtain Austrian health insurance from my country?

I would appreciate it if any of you kind souls would help me with my issues. Look forward to being classmates with you all, cheers!

Actually i have found accomodation via www.housing.oead.at. I applied several months ago and they provided me with a single room within the next two weeks.
They have a lot of student houses/campuses around the city, so why not to ask them? Also there is a student campus of the University of Vienna (which was not offered to the foreign students for some reason) with available rooms for renting. Check out also the list of the housing organisations mentioned on this particular discussion board:
www.housing.oead.at
www.jobwohnen.at
www.casaswap.com
www.wohnenboerse.at
wohnen.career.at/wg-zimmer-wien.php

some of these web sites are in german only though, what makes the information you will get a bit convoluted.

I'm afraid that's all i can help you with.

1. The proof of accomodation. I just printed out the contract of accomodation i got from housing.oead via e-mail. That was sufficient for the austrian embassy.
2. Health insurance. I also obtained my health insurence at one of the accredited by the austrian embassy insurance organisations (they had a list of such organisations on their web page) in my country. That was sufficient as well.

Can't really comment on the process of application for a visa in your country. That was only my experience.

So, the list of courses is a subject to change, is that right? I hope they won't take away Interntional Arbitration and the WTO law. This is kind of why i singed up for the programme.
