Hi everybody!
I am a student who is about to start the LLM International Business Law programme at Tilburg University in the following August 2008.
And I am on a research on finding the latest ranking information of the Faculty of Law of Tilburg University... There are some info on the university web page, but I need some updated info. Since we are already in year 2008, I think there must be some ranking info available for year 2007.
If there is anybody who may help/guide me, or send me any kind of a ranking list, I am looking forward to receiving your replies!!!
Thanks all in advance.

Thank you very much phantommy!!
It is really of great use for me.
I have also felt myself more comfortable as I have seen that Tilburg is still at the top for the last years as well. I was also actually expecting sth like that. But to see it as written somewhere makes you feel more comfortable
However, I need some favour of you. I need to see these lists actually as it is on the website. Could you provide me the internet link? I need to print the relevant pages.
From which web address did you reach those lists? Could you provide me the complete versions of these lists please? I would be grateful if you can help me. Thank you very much in advance.

Can someone elaborate on this magical SSRN ranking? In what planet could Tilburg Law be better than Oxbridge?

You can find the SSRN ranking at the follwing website:
http://www.ssrn.com/institutes/top_institutions_transfer_files/top_institutions_transfer_files.html. Maybe you will need to login, I am not sure. It is easy to get an account (i am using this site to download papers for research)
Information about Elsevier and Keuzegids can be found on the website of Tilburg University. I think they are proud of it ;) See the following links (in Dutch, but it is quite easy to understand): http://www.uvt.nl/faculteiten/frw/kwaliteit/onderwijs/oordeel/elsevier/ and http://www.uvt.nl/faculteiten/frw/kwaliteit/onderwijs/oordeel/keuzegids/2006-2007.html.
In short in English: http://www.tilburguniversity.nl/faculties/law/about/rankings-achievements/quality/

Sweet mother of Jesus, 'The following rankings are based on downloads from SSRN's eLibrary and updated monthly.'
Who cares who downloads what from where? Maybe it proves Tilburg does not have any books available in the library? If someone's going to make his choice on such irrelevant rankings - he/she is out of his/her mind.

Wow, you are negative! What is your problem? Please go to Leiden....

I am not saying Tilburg is a bad university - it is not. I have been there frequently and my friends are studying there as well. But to advertise itself with rankings based on leeching of PDF files is at least awkward.

Well true. But the amount of downloads of papers of Tilburg professors does say anything about the quality of the research. Why else download them if there are plenty of other professors of other univeristies to download from.
Anyway, it still does not say anything about the quality of the law programmes, but I tried to look for rankings in the field of law in Europe and these are the only ones I could find.

Hi guys,
I have read your comments of last year regarding Tilburg University and I suppose that each of you is close to the end of his/her post-graduate studies with Tilburg University.
I am admitted this year to Tilburg University and granted a scholarship as well(I guess I have to pay only 2500EUR ) for the fee. They grant 5000EUR to cover living costs...It is sufficient?
I would appreciate your opionion based on your experience for an LLM in International Business Law...It is worth to study in this programme with Tilburg University...I would like Mehmet to give his own opinion since he is currently studying in this programme with Tilburg University.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Best,
Zamira
