I am rethinking about attending MIDS. I really want to attend but they didn't give me a scholarship despite the fact that I am from a developing country with meagre resources.

My scholarship application was 'waitlisted'.
I don't have much hope of getting it now, so I guess the one year in Geneva will be spent in some financial stress. Either way, sure hope to see many of you there. Good luck! :)

I have been waitlisted for the MIDS-Managed Scholarship as well. The MIDS has stated that such waitlisted scholarships shall be reconsidered in a second round and the decisions of which will be conveyed to us by the end of April. Has anyone been successful in receiving the scholarship from the first round ? This is just to gauge what are chances are for those that are waitlisted. Thanks!

Hi! I have been waitlisted for the scholarship too. My understanding is that waitlisted candidates can obtain a scholarship if someone who was awarded the scholarship in the first round turns the offer down.

Anyone accepted offer? Did you just reply that you accepted offer or filled some admission form?

They were supposed to send some form along with the scholarship communication. But I received no such form.
Ideally, our acceptance would be accompanied by a 500CHF payment. I think I'll wait one day before writing to them.

I did not receive. I just replied that I accepted offer.

I received the form along with the acceptance email. Filed in, confirmed and paid the initial deposit of 500 CHF. They still have to confirm receipt of the deposit. I believe the next step would be them sending us details of accommodation.

However, I hadn't applied for the scholarship. I believe, those who had applied (and either did not get it or were put on wait list), are only now being sent the email for filing up the acceptance form and giving details for payment.

In answer to my email, MIDS clarified that applicants placed on a waiting list for the scholarship request are allowed to give their final decision on the offer when the final allocation of the scholarships will be made. This is the reason why waitlisted applicants have not received the admission form and payment instructions sheet yet.

The same situation, received the form with acceptance letter, printed it, signed, attached proof of payment and sent all these to them. They replied that will confirm after receiving money on their account.

"We will send you soon the welcome guide with further information and instructions, especially on the accommodation.

Please note that the MIDS have an agreement with the résidence Picciotto and the RUI and Carlton and we do have some rooms secured there for us. So please, do not contact the Picciotto Student House or the RUI/Carlton, as you will receive a registration sheet from us. However, there will not be enough rooms for all our students, so you can already apply to the cité universitaire (residence) if you wish as they do take applications in order of receipt."

Do you know maybe if pets are allowed in students houses?
