Hi everybody!
I am very happy to discover this great forum! It is a good place to exchange information and learn about the law programs across the globe.
I applied to the European University Institute in Florence- LL.M. in Comparative, European and International Law and I was invited to an interview on April 16.
Can anyone please tell me what can I expect in terms of questions? Are there any other people going to Florence on April 16 for such interviews?
If I can be useful with some information, I'll also be glad to help.

Hello! I'm sorry that You didn't manage to receive any good advice before Your interview, but I am wondering whether You could give any to me as I will be doing it tomorrow. What should I expect? Any suggestions? (btw were You in Florence or was the interview conducted via phone/Skype? Volcanic ash caused some people trouble to arrive there)
I know it's a bit late, but if You found some time, I'd be very thankful for Your help, advice. Greets!

Hi Roby!
I am sorry that I saw your message just now. I went to Florence in person. I had to cancel my interview on April 16 and I had it on April 19 instead. It was very short, straight to the point on my proposal and they said that we'll hear back from the EUI within three weeks.
All the best to you!

Hey guys,
I also have been invited to the interview at the EUI Law Department and I was wondering if there any current PhD students who can share their experience about the interview. I am mainly interested in the type of questions they ask? Are all of them of legal nature and strictly on your research proposal? Also, how did you find the language test?
Any help will be grately appreciated, also from LLM students who went to the EUI for interview. Many thanks

Hi Virginia,
Congrats for being invited to an interview! :) I am not sure if it will be the same as it was in 2010 but I was asked back then about my education, my motivation to join the program and about my thesis topic. Basically, that was it. So, be sure to prepare a good reply on why you want to study there and why did you choose your particular topic. Best of luck!!!
