I have offers from both Leiden University and University of Amsterdam, but I'm not sure which one to take up. The UvA course is better in terms of the finance content but Leiden seems like a more student friendly city. I'm not sure what to decide.
Also, career wise, not too sure which programme would prepare me better.
LLM in Law and Finance at Leiden or UvA?

Congratulations on your offer!
Leiden is known for international law. I'd suggest, reputation-wise, Amsterdam is the best choice. If you are on a budget, Leiden is the best option. Living cost in Amsterdam is not so friendly for students. Thinking about networking, Amsterdam is considered to be surrounded by businesses and finance institutions. Thus, I'd choose Amsterdam if I do not have a problem with finance.

Thank you for your response. It looks like UvA has a stronger student body for law and finance grads, and UvA seems stronger on the financial law front.

I have only seen most of the lawyers from my country majoring in Public International Law from Leiden. If you have LinkedIn, it may be a better way to communicate with a current student.
