Dear All,
I am really interested in applying for LLM at Zürich University.
Has anyone studied at Zürich University for LLM? How the curriculum was? What was your impressions?
I have heared that finding an acommodation is very hard and expensive, is it true?

I wouldn't waste my time there tbh. I myself went there for an exchange year and absolutely hated it. Also if you search this forum, you will find some not so good reviews on the program. And yes, accomodation tends to be more expensive than in other places.

I do not agree. I think the part time program in international business law is an interesting option. Since the lectures are taught on Friday and Saturday, I it a good part time option. You do not have to stop working in the meantime. Further, the new full time programs can be considered. They offer now a full time LL.M. program in Banking and Finance and International Sports law, which takes you less than a year.

I think the LL.M. programs in Zurich have a great deal to offer. I really enjoyed my time in Zurich and learned a lot. The reputation of the Uni is excellent and since they offer these courses since many years they have some real stars among their lecturers (Prof Whish from Kings College or Prof Müller-Graff from Heidelberg).
Of course zurich is not the cheapest place but London is expensive as well... I got a scholarship and worked part-time and it worked out perfectly. The only problem is that the courses are held partly in German but I think they now also offer full-time programs in English...
@ chococino: There is no exchange program for LL.M. programs in Zurich, so you shouldnt hustle about something you dont know!

hi botta, i never said i was an exchange student in the LLM programme. i studied there during my LLB and on top of that i lived in zurich for several years working with exchange students (erasmus student network) and tutoring law students. my personal impression was that, while teaching is excellent, the social life is not as diverse as in other places and unfortunately many prospective employers have not heard of zurich law. I'm glad that you enjoyed your time : ) this is just my own personal view.
