Congratulations to vall and FB!

Thanks to everyone who's been posting. I never got a reply from WIPO on my questions. Here really helped me as to what's been going on.

I noticed that the only ones (on this board) who have reported any response at all are those who applied directly to the University.

Has anybody received a scholarship offer?

GIGIM, neither vall nor I got the scholarship. We will have to look for accommodation and pay for the course on our own.

As for the response to the applications, you are right. On this forum, the only ones who received any response so far applied directly to the University of Turin.

I don't think we have means to know whether all the applications sent to WIPO by members of this board were turned down or are still under analysis, or if someone was accepted but did not mention.

I would not lose hope, though. It seems to me that probably WIPO is still analysing the candidates.

I wish you all the best of luck, and can relate well to the anguish and thrill of the expectation.

Just wanted to join my voice to all those who think that WIPO should send out emails to rejected applicants to simply say that the application wasn't successful. It's a small but courteous thing to do (and would relieve the mind!).

Hope that they will consider it for next year.

I heard someone said this program is set primarily for training IP teacher rather than IP practicer. I also wonder whether we can get a internship opportunity in IP firm after finishing the study. The objective of the program is to form a group of lawyers, economists and experts in the various sectors of intellectual property possessing a global vision of the issues.

The Scientific Committee has the right to offer to some participants the possibility to follow an internship at WIPO and at private and public entities (including legal partnerships or patent consultancy firms), according to conditions of access and attendance established by it.

Since the primary task of the Master is to promote a in-depth study by the participants of the instruments of analysis and theoretical research, the normal way of completing the cycle remains the preparation of the final thesis.
