Hello
I have been accepted into an LLM at University College London and the Advanced LLM at Leiden. My focus is on criminal justice/rights of the child. Does anyone have any views about what is the better course?
Thanks so much!

Hey!
Eeeem one year later and I find myself in pretty much the same position... Any chance you'd like to share which one you chose after all and how it worked out?
Thanks !!

Dear ArtK,
The main difference is that the Advanced LLM in Leiden offers a master of laws degree and focuses primarily on international children's rights as an area of international and human rights law. The programme addresses the various ways in which international children's rights interact with other areas of international, regional and domestic law relevant for children and their families, incl. e.g. criminal justice, child protection, migration. In addition, it reaches out to other academic disciplines relevance for the implementation and enforcement of children's rights at the local level. However, the primary focus lies on the meaning of international children's rights for children and their families at the domestic level. It would be great to welcome you at Leiden University! Feel welcome to make further inquiries via our programme officer - Ms. Esther Uiterweerd - childrensrights@law.leidenuniv.nl
Kind regards,
